"...a deviation and preservation fused together"

From beginning to end, your old style still remains, in subtle doses. Beautiful relaxing piano... diverse composition. Images of long past childhood, all painted in colors of intense light and golden bronze, appear. The guitar line is also interesting, and all in all this is a deviation and preservation fused together.

pitbulljones responds:

'a deviation and a preservation' i like that. Like i keep saying this tune came from nowhere tbh, sometimes you just roll with it. haha the imagery again, cool.

Thanks very much mate

Wonderful ambiance preceding impending violence.

Europe in the Middle Ages. Morning has dawned, and a vassal lays siege to his lord's stronghold. The mist is still thick as chain-mailed infantry run errands and the necessary preparations. Trebuchets and various siege equipment are being set up, with mounted knights shouting the orders of their lord. As the electronic instrument barges in mid-track, the images of medieval Europe begin to grow staticky and are slowly replaced by images of modern destruction and combat. What can I say? Wonderful ambiance preceding impending violence. You've deviated from your old style, I can tell.

pitbulljones responds:

haha, i like the imagery mate, very nice indeed. Im seriously just gonna get you to write reviews for every soing on my mysace or summat. It's always nice when people get images from songs, whatever the song is, it means it's created an atmosphere

cheers

"...a bit incoherent..."

The piano part was a bit incoherent, and the percussion didn't really fit... the cymbal was a bit annoying... I don't know, overall the notes sound a bit random, and the instruments don't fit together. Buy a theory book, it'll help a bit with the notation/composition process.

HiniberusDelius responds:

I'm going to work on the music when I can during summer, I do not have much free time for now as I have the big exams. I mean I'll try to make Degraded soul better (Smooth out the randomness) But I'm still new to the whole music thing.

"That was random as hell..."

That was random as hell, but the little bits and pieces by themselves were nice. Good work.

HiniberusDelius responds:

Okay thanks, this seems to be the best track I got so far (and it was my 2nd one ever), I'll keep to industrial section as it's my speciality if you wish I'll keep you updated for my next release.

"...practice makes perfect."

It seems like you're beginning... but I guess I can say that's a good start. Perhaps a catchier melody, and as always, practice makes perfect.

HiniberusDelius responds:

Well thanks

"...I just can't hum along here."

This is a little too experimental for me. Not much else to say, there needs to be a set melody, and I just can't hum along here.

HiniberusDelius responds:

I intensionally wanted to see how I could use riffs and from all of the other comments I gusse I used them quite well. It's your opinion and it was ment to be a bit random though.

"...on its way to the Nintendo music board..."

Jesus christ. This sounds like something straight out of a Mario game... the melody sounds so familiar, yet I don't recognize it. Where'd you get it? But I'm pretty sure it's not a remix... can't be certain. However, you made the perfect choice of instruments. This track is on its way to the Nintendo board, for sure.

Father-of-Death responds:

ha ha ha WTF!

I'm in band and we played this one song called "Yakity Sax" and i loved it!!!

So i thought I would make a remix of it.

and bada bing bada boom done!

does actually remind me of popcorn being popped

What VST's do you use, man? I need to get some of those... the ARP's, etc... are great, and you've arranged them into a catchy melody. The poppy-sounding electronic instrument does actually remind me of popcorn being popped... great work with the track man.

Father-of-Death responds:

Woot!!!

I use Vanguard

Thnx for the review again!!!! =D

"...captures the old retro arcade soundtrack..."

That's one hell of a beat. I've never gotten exactly how to make a fast-paced melody... so I envy this. This track truly captures the old retro arcade soundtrack here... except instead of mono-MIDI sounds, you provide a track with adequate depth. Bravo.

Father-of-Death responds:

thanks so so so much!!! =D

you have no clue how much this truley truley truley means to me!!!

thnx so much!!!

Me and you need to talk music more than we talk about websites and shit! i wanna teach you some awsome tricks!!!

"...Pitbulljones going William Orbit."

Great ambient. That's as far as it goes really... this track has a really subtle melody... I'm sorry, but I can't really find a melody for this one. All I have to say that I'm glad to hear something new and unique to your line of Pitbulljones Genre (TM) tracks... I swear, have you listened to William Orbit's album, Pieces in a Modern Style? There are striking resemblances in the track that make me regret purchasing his album instead of downloading this track :P. So conclusively, this track is essentially Pitbulljones going William Orbit.

Great work!

pitbulljones responds:

Haha thanks for the review G9. I don't think there's much of a melody, there's the lil string that comes in n out of the mix and th bleeps at the end and thats it melody wise. Im glad your glad that ive expanded abit, think this might be a natural progression for a few songs now then i'll go back to guitar work. i have to say ive neverlistened to Orbit's work except some of the madonna tracks, just never got round to it, but if you reckon thats what its like this track then all i can say is thankyou.

Again thanks for the review. and undoubtedly this'll feature on a podcast of your's.
