Simply said, of all the tracks you submitted to the g9core.com Audio Podcast, this is my least favorite. To be honest, sorry. While a bit loud, this track definitely presents a Summer-like peace that is seldom found on any other track in the Audio Portal. From the interesting percussion lines, to the repetitive guitar line, this song is quite unique in itself. There is an instrument that adds the "Summer flavor", but I can't recognize it. Good job, nevertheless.

[Cold V.1.0]

"dark, mysterious, and frankly, quite unknown."

There is a darkness in this track that is very hard to decrypt, in the listener's perspective. From the initially deep and infrequent percussion line that "Cold" opens to, all the way to the ambient-like wind synths that dominate most of the track, the song remains dark, mysterious, and frankly, quite unknown. The second percussion line that comes in a little after the beginning is an appreciated asset to the song that definitely does not prove as a detriment, or even an excuse to repetition. It plays a great addition to the rest of the track, as simple as it is. The distorted instrument adds a certain professional depth to the song the I enjoyed listening to. The ending however was quite abrupt, breaking me out of the trance. Overall, quite excellent work.

[Bomberman Enigma]

"...plus one for the pro air."

NV, this track doesn't catch my taste too much... but there is no doubt it belongs in a Nintendo game soundtrack. The upbeat melody, and the side instruments all fuse into an clearly audible mass that wants to be heard, and most definitely wants to roll over the listener and consume him or her in its professional air. Not sure if this is an original composition or not, but this kicks major ass. While the average score of my review is an 8, you get plus one for the pro air. Excellent job.

[Beyond What You See]

"...generical isn't always bad."

NV... this track was no doubt a generical and typical Newgrounds Audio Portal electronica track... not just up to par, but definitely over average. A little more depth would be appreciated, and the semi-acid synthesizer gets annoying at times... but the occassional vocals, the deep, lively bass line and the fast drum beat make up for it. Overall, very good... and a note to all, generical isn't always bad.

[Without Limits (Fixed)]

"...expectations surely 'Without Limits'."

Nightvision, I must say this is a perfect combination of piano and classical with electronic/synthesized elements. From the peaceful, yet adventurous beginning, to the electronic transition into the faster part of the track, I enjoyed every second of this song. I'm sure listeners did as well. The depth of this song is perhaps what causes this track to have expectations surely "Without Limits". Good job.

For everybody who is reading this, i'll let you know that G9 has done an outstanding job with his recurring audio podcast. It's definetely a must-listen for all NG'ers.

[There is Faith in Hope]

"...a well-received breather..."

"There is Faith in Hope" is one of the few quiet, yet great pieces here on the Audio Portal. It's something we should all be thankful for... from the clear electronic synths to the concluding ambience of running water, this track was enjoyable in all aspects. Happens that I was mixing this song right when you requested a review via a review of my first track... and it was right after an extremely loud (but good) lyricless rock piece. I can only say that it was a well-received breather both to me, and future listeners.

hey g9, thanks for the review. the clarity is there due to practically everything being midi, the only thing that isn't are the two guitars playing hard left and right though one of em is more subtle. at least you got to chill out for a bit innit.

[WC > Robotic Cranium]

Flawed, yet original.

Very original and unique, I must compliment you on that. The background noises also proved interesting, though it blared a bit and lacked a strong line of melody... what would've been cool is if you swapped your current melody for the bassline, and added a heavy guitar track, adding a violent guitar line to the song. Perhaps my proposition would suck in result, but it's just an idea. It's great overall though... congratulations.

Dark and imposing.

I must say, your usage of industrial and grunge vocals has spanned most of your songs, and this particular piece is no exception. I'm loving the rhythm here, the fast-paced beat, the industrial and electronica touches, and of course, the definitive grunge vocals. Keep up the good work and keep them coming!
